Speed Sticks x3 were on sale $1.49 each....coupon for $1 x3 = $.49 each = $1.47
Vicks for kids was on sale for $4.99....Coupon $2 = 2.99
Total without coupons $12.43
Total with my coupons $6.43
So thats good at least I saved half of the total. hehe
First time taking pictures of my savings
I have couponed before but nothing like what me and my boyfriend are doing now. I started to take pictures, like most do, of the items I bought, then I write the price they were and how much my coupons were for. Its nice to see the savings of all the stuff we bought and didnt have to pay an arm and leg for. Everyone knows that the price of everything just keeps going up and with any kind of savings, its going to help out. Especially with a 21 month old little boy. I have saved lots of diapers, wipes, snacks, food, and that makes this momma pretty happy :)
For the last few years, we would pretty much use coupons only when we came across them, either in a flyer, or in the isles of the stores or even on/in other products we would buy. It wasn't anything serious. But I would say for the last year, we have really been taking it seriously and doing our research. Now we write to companies, asking them for coupons, sometimes we buy products to try and if we aren't satisfied we also will write to the company, or sometimes we really like the item and just write the company to let them know how great their stuff is. Most times we get a response that they will send us out some coupons, while others tell us to check our newspapers and stuff like that. Which sucks because where we live, we aren't delivered papers and stuff like that, and our flyers that we do get RARELY have coupons in them.
Here is the first picture I took of a little shopping we did.

1.Similac was on sale for $4.99 and I had a coupon for $5 off. = FREE
2.Always infinity was on sale for 4.99 and I had a $1 coupon =$3.99
3. Speed Stick for men and women was on sale for 1.49 and I had a $1 coupon = $.49 each =$2
4. Nutrios on sale for $2.49 and I had a coupon for $1, BUT it was at superstore and they originally came in at 2.99 so I got them = FREE
Total of the items on sale =$18.43......Total SPENT =$5.95 ....
Not sure what the % of my savings is lol..but I think its pretty good...
